SMILE Pro: The Latest Innovation
SMILE Pro (2024-2026) is the newest generation of the SMILE procedure. Using the VisuMax 800 femtosecond laser, it extracts a tiny disc of corneal tissue (lenticule) through a 2-4mm keyhole incision. Because there is no flap, corneal biomechanical strength is better preserved, dry eye risk is significantly lower, and recovery is faster.
How to Choose
- Choose LASIK if: You want the most proven track record, fastest visual recovery, and lowest cost
- Choose LASEK if: You have thin corneas, do contact sports, or want to avoid flap-related risks
- Choose SMILE Pro if: You want the latest technology, lowest dry eye risk, and play impact sports. Budget allows for the premium
